Compliance & Fair Housing

Acre is built for real estate professionals and designed to avoid language that violates fair housing laws. This page outlines what Acre does — and what you, as the licensed professional, are still responsible for.

Review before publishing

Every piece of content Acre generates is a draft. You — the licensed agent or brokerage — are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated marketing for accuracy, MLS rules, brokerage rules, and fair housing compliance before publishing.

Fair Housing

The federal Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), familial status, and disability. Many states and cities add protected classes such as source of income, age, marital status, or military status.

Acre's prompts and generation rules are designed to avoid:

  • References to people instead of property ("great for families", "perfect for couples", "ideal for a young professional").
  • Religious, ethnic, or national-origin descriptors.
  • Disability-related steering language or assumptions.
  • Coded neighborhood claims like "safe neighborhood", "exclusive", "good schools" framed as a demographic signal.

Acre focuses copy on the property and lifestyle benefits rather than the assumed buyer. Even so, AI is not a substitute for human review. If you see language that feels off, edit it before publishing.

MLS, Brokerage, and Local Rules

Your MLS, your brokerage, and your state real estate commission each have their own advertising and disclosure rules — required disclaimers, agent/brokerage attribution, IDX restrictions, virtual staging disclosure, and more. Acre doesn't know your specific MLS or brokerage requirements. You're responsible for adding required disclosures, ensuring agent/brokerage attribution is correct, and following any local rules before publishing.

Accuracy

Acre generates marketing copy from the listing information you provide. AI can occasionally misinterpret details. Confirm every fact — square footage, beds/baths, school references, HOA fees, taxes, finishes — against the source listing before posting.

Image & Video Disclosures

If you use AI-generated or AI-edited images alongside Acre copy, follow your MLS and local rules for disclosing virtual staging, enhancement, or AI generation.

Reporting an issue

If Acre produces output that you believe violates fair housing rules or any other compliance standard, please report it through the contact options on acreworld.app so we can tighten our prompts.
